Insigne, slipper orchid, greenie-yellow flower.
Around 50 species occurring from the Himalayas, South East Asia, Indonesia, Philippines and New Guinea. Most are terrestrial or lithophytic plants with a few epihpytic species.
These require intermediate to warm temperatures and rather more light than the other types. The plants must not be allowed to dry out and do best in a semi shaded position with high humidity and good air movement.
